Amy completed her 2200 hour program at the Wholistic Training Centre in 2009. Since then, has been studying Mana Lomi under founder Maka’ala Yates. Mana Lomi is a problem-solving style of massage. It is a deep yet gentle approach that allows the massage to go as deep as the body is able to handle without being invasive. This approach requires that the client pay attention to the treatment. Regular massage has the added benefit of creating a body awareness that allows a treatment plan that can prevent more serious problems from arising. The use of a hot towel pack or hot stones (lomi’ili’ili) may be used during a treatment after consultation with the client.

Hello, my name is Portia, and I am the Clinic Manager for both the Lewis Estates and Heritage Valley locations of Massage Experts. I oversee daily operations and ensure our clients receive exceptional service. You can typically find me at our West location from Monday to Friday, and I am also available at our South location on Wednesdays.

I joined Massage Experts in October 2016 as a Front Desk Receptionist when our West location first opened. In June 2021, I transitioned into my current role as Clinic Manager, where I now oversee the management of both locations. Throughout my eight years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding and appreciation for Massage Therapy, and I am always happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have during your visit.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am passionate about outdoor activities such as going to the gym, camping, wake surfing and skiing. My favorite pastime is relaxing by the lake. Additionally, I work as a Lash and Brow Technician from home in the evenings.
