Matt Hamilton

Manual Osteopath/Registered Massage Therapist | Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy/ Canadian College of Osteopathy | MTANS/ NSAO

  • Matt graduated as an Osteopath at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and is a medical Fascial Stretch therapist. You won't find your typically massage treatment when booking with Matt.

    He has completed post-graduate work in Advanced Sport Massage and has traveled twice to Arizona to learn the art of Fascial Stretch Therapy. Matt is currently one of three Certified Fascial Stretch Specialists (CFSS) in Nova Scotia.

    Having worked with everyone from Professional Athletes to geriatric populations, Matt has the treatment tools to help a wide variety of clientele.

    Matt's treatments are carried out in gym appropriate attire. Please bring comfortable workout gear to get most out of your treatment.

    Currently, Matt's interests are in human movement; Particularly how therapy and optimal performance can be found through dynamic movement patterning.

    Outside of the clinic Matt enjoys playing hockey, strength training, primal movement and self care. His favourite part of the day is spending time with his wife and 2 children.

Christopher LeRue

  • Christoper LeRue has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2002, is a member in good standing with MTANS, and has been an instructor at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. His professional services are highly sought after. Although his techniques may not be the most heavy handed, he is one of the most specific and accurate in the industry. He aims to understand your needs, and has the experience to meet your goals. Christopher aims for efficiency. Being a naturally quiet person, you might not find him a great conversationalist, however, this may just give you a chance to rest and decompress.

Melanie Jandron

Registered Massage Therapist | Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy | MTANS

  • Melanie graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH), with a certificate in the Chronic Pain Outreach Clinic in 2008. She is an active member and is in good standings with the Massage Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS).

    She enjoys adding Guasha (also known as scraping, spooning, or coining) to her therapeutic treatments, which can also help with headaches and TMJ dysfunctions.

    Along with Trigger Point and Myofascial release, she also has experience with Pregnancy massage, Cupping, Indian Head massage. She has also recently started offering Hot Stone Treatment.

    Melanie chose a career in massage therapy because she wants to help people, and believes everyone can benefit from massage, especially in todays busy world.
    She enjoys working with individuals in a one-on-one setting to help their bodies mend through the connection of therapeutic touch and the bodies own natural process of self-healing.

Taylor Morrison

    Taylor's Massage Therapy journey started with an injury suffered during a football game in high school. After his doctor told him to stop playing and try something new Taylor decided to take another approach. He started to go to an RMT in his area. They quickly got to the root of the injury and he was able to make a speedy recovery. He was then healthy and capable to finish the season. Taylor's values on treatment and movement allow him to have this same effect on his patients.

    Taylor, originally from Cape Breton, moved to Halifax and graduated from CCMH . During his time in school he specialized in Sports massage. In over 7 years of power lifting on both the national and provincial stages Taylor has a vast understanding of biomechanics and the importance of keeping your muscles strong and flexible. He has no trouble getting into the deeper muscle fibers. With a focus on deep tissue and movement techniques he can have you feeling & moving better in no time.

Nicole Gabriel

  • Nicole Gabriel graduated from ICT Northumberland College . During her time there, she focused on deep tissue massage. Justin Brown

  • Justin approached massage therapy as a profession after experiencing the positive benefits first-hand during his recovery from a shoulder dislocation. Specific, deep tissue massage and a well-tailored rehabilitation program resulted in a full return to activities, and inspired Justin to delve into the healthcare field. During his time at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH), Justin worked in both the chronic pain and athlete inreach student clinics. He also volunteered for a number of sporting events during his time in school.

    Justin enjoys using deep tissue massage, trigger point release therapy, myofascial releases, and stretching during treatments, along with an individualized home care plan, to help his patients reach their goals. Treatments are designed for each patient based on their personal health goals and the nature of their injury. Justin has pursued additional training in TMJ treatment as well.

    A passion for health, fitness, and professional development is reflected in Justin’s activities outside of massage. His time off is spent working out at the gym, bouldering at Seven Bays climbing wall, or working at CCMH

Lauren Murphy

  • Lauren became interested in Massage Therapy because she has always had a passion for helping people and seeking natural ways to maintain your health and well being. Lauren completed the 2200 hour hands on program at CCMH with additional experience working at the neurological clinic as well as the arthritis clinic. She can do treatments ranging from light to deep tissue work and uses her intuition and education to provide the most effective treatment possible!

Amy Meister

  • Originally from New Brunswick, Amy moved to Halifax to pursue a career in massage therapy and graduated with honors from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy.

    She is passionate about the positive effects of massage therapy on the body as well as the mind. Amy brings a vibrant, attentive and compassionate approach to the Massage Expert team. She loves people and is happy to chat with you during treatment or help you unwind in peace - just let her know what you need!

    Her main goal is that her patients leave feeling better then when they came in - whether that be reduced pain, increased function, decreases in stress, etc. To help achieve this she practices using Swedish techniques throughout Therapeutic and Relaxation massage. In March 2016, she also completed Levels 1 and 2 of her Kinesio Tape certification. Confident in treating sport injuries and using manual lymph drainage techniques, Annika is eager to learn from and meet her new clients!

Alyssa Anderson

  • Alyssa graduated  from ICT Northumberland Collage and is a member in good standing with MTWPAM.

    Alyssa got into massage therapy when a family member got into a car accident and seeing firsthand how massage therapy helped them. Since then she has love helping people and is passionate in tailoring treatments to client’s needs. Since graduating Alyssa has added introductory into reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Cupping to her treatments. Alyssa enjoys seeing how massage therapy can help people with conditions, such as headaches, sciatica and plantar fasciitis, or if they just need to relax.

    Alyssa has a creative approach which is reflected in her personal life. When she isn’t at work she enjoys cross stitching and reading.

Shawn Foubert

  • I have been in the Holistic Field of Health for over thirty six years, I  can adjust from very light pressure to deep pressure to work with bodies.  I believe that, “Generally speaking, corrections made using force, won’t hold as well as those using finesse, as forceful corrections/manipulations don’t require the bodies permission or cooperation.” Over the last eighteen years I have been concentrating my time on Massage Therapy, Complimentary Modalities and Teaching. Some of the things I do are, General Swedish Massage, Reiki Master/teacher, Indian Head Massage Practitioner/Teacher,  Vacuum Cupping,

    Tui Na Practitioner/Teacher, Gua Sha, Myo Fascial Release, Active Release, Aroma Therapist, Tunning Fork,  Trauma Informed Therapist, a course in Emergency First Aid for Mental Health, well let’s just say I have a few tricks.   • Tori graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy .  she has a very deep understanding of human anatomy and the various conditions that can be treated with massage therapy. Tori is passionate about her role in helping people incorporate a more natural approach to health care, dealing with pain, and recovery from injuries in all stages of healing. She is capable of providing treatments at various depths of pressure but prefers to ease into deep tissue treatments to work at pace that allows the most therapeutic benefit for her patients.

Glen Campbell

  • As a graduate of WCCMT Victoria, BC, I have recently moved to be closer to family and I am very excited to work as an RMT here in Halifax.
    Personally, in my past experiences with massage therapy (as a patient), I found it my treatment of choice in helping me manage and overcome day to day stresses associated with my career. Massage proved to be the best fit for me in both a physical and mental sense.
    Techniques, I enjoy using include GSM, MFR,AMR< effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, joint mobility, trigger point release, and follow-up home care recommemdations.

Corey Beaver

  • Corey graduated from Eastern College with high honors, all while raising his 2 teenage children. Originally from Halifax,he previously worked as a larborer. Corey, intends to further his knowledge in the Massage Therapy industry as he is commited to a kind and caring approach. He believes that everyone can benefit from massage in all of its many forms.
    Corey's goal is to make sure his clients feel comfortable and safe with his customized treatments for each client to help meet their needs and goals.
    He offers General Swedish Massage,myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations with a focus on deep tissue massage.
    In the future hes is looking to add in Cranial Sacral as well. Corey excels at listening to his clients and their needs and focusing on proper areas and using pressures his clients are comfortable with. Emily Proulx

  • Emily began her spontaneous journey into massage therapy , consistently stating "The perfect job found her." Graduating with her 2200 hr program  Emily has learned how to have the perfect "flow" for every style of treatment. Emily loves treating deep tissue, therapeutic, sports therapy, and also general Swedish massage. She loves to add trigger point therapy with mild stretching and muscle manipulation to any treatment if applicable.

    Massage Experts Young Street has been a forever home for Emily, where not only the staff but clients have become a part of her family. Being a Mom is Emily's number one passion in life, she loves treating soon to be moms with prenatal treatments, and experiencing children in her treatment room with  their smiles and giggles. Emily has a personality that shines through every massage, that you'll not only leave happy with your treatment being exactly what you wanted, but with also a smile.

  • Cecelia Driscoll, RMT, specializes in Trauma-Informed Therapeutic Massage and brings some of her prior training in Bowen Therapy, Shiatsu, and Therapeutic Touch into her career as a Registered Massage Therapist. She is further trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Suikodo, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Cupping and Deep Tissue Massage. It is Cecelia’s goal to remove obstacles to your own bodies healing methods during therapeutic massage. She listens to you and adjusts each treatment to help your body maintain balance and health.

Savana Vincent - Ferrier

    Growing up Savana spent much of her time caring for her younger siblings, little animals and riding horses. She grew a passion for helping others and animals and wanted to start a fulfilling career helping them with their discomfort.
    Savana graduated from ICT Northumberland College with an interest in gentle therapeutic treatments, easing the discomfort pregnancy can bring with prenatal massages and the joys of working with children and their families. She has a lighter touch but will gradually work into the muscles while listening to her clients’ needs and their treatment goals.   • Patricia is a graduate of the ICT Northumberland College Massage Therapy Program. She also has her Reiki Level 1.

    Throughout her schooling she gained experience in treating MS, Parkinson's, Fibromyalgia, and athletes. She has training in Thai Foot Reflexology Massage and Hot Stone. She is passionate about helping people to live their best quality of life.

    She has seen how much massage can improve the quality of daily living for those in chronic pain and with chronic conditions and is passionate about doing what she can to help. She plans to get more training in chronic pain conditions.

Bryden McNamara

  • Bryden graduated from ICT Northumberland College in Halifax in 2019. His treatments focus on reducing pain and improving muscle health by resolving excess tension and improving circulation to soft tissue. He works with each client to find the correct depth of pressure for their individual needs. Bryden helps resolve tissue disorders such as trigger points, hypertonicity and loss of flexibility. He uses a variety of massage techniques including: Deep Tissue Massage, General Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Active release and Stretches to address tissue dysfunction.
    Bryden decided to pursue Massage Therapy after completing a Bachelor of Music. Bryden became inspired to learn more about how the body functions after changes in his own bad posture helped resolve years of back pain.
